DJI Drone / Controller Compatibility Litchi Utilities Logo

With each new generation of DJI drones (e.g., Mavic 4 vs. Mavic 3 vs. Mavic 2), DJI typically introduces a new controller (e.g., RC-N1 vs. RC1A). However, for drone models that are primarily modifications of existing models (e.g., Air 3 vs. Air 3S), DJI often retains the same controller. That said, there are always exceptions to this pattern, which can make it challenging to determine which drones are compatible with which controllers. To provide clarity, the following chart outlines the compatibility between various DJI drones and their respective controllers.

  • RC-N1 supports O2, O3, O3+
  • RC-N2 supports O3 and O4
  • RC-N3 supports O4 (with smaller battery)
  • RC1A vs RC1B: Different production batches. RC1A is compatible with Epson Moverio glasses. RC1B produces no DAT logs on flying device.
