There are two different panorama mission creators. They will both create Litchi missions that can be used to capture photos for a 360° panorama. However, they each have a different set of input parameters. This document highlights the differences.

New Litchi Mission to Panorama Mission | |
FOV | The camera field of view (FOV) is assumed to be approximately 80°. | The camera field of view (FOV) is selectable. |
---|---|---|
Overlap | The photo overlap is fixed at roughly 35%. | Both the horizontal and vertical photo overlap percentage is selectable. |
Rows & Columns | The number of rows and columns of photos are fixed at three rows and eight columns. | The number of rows and columns is computed based on the drone camera. |
Gimbal Pitch Angles | The gimbal pitch angles are selectable. | The gimbal pitch angles are computed based on the drone camera. |
Heading Angles | The heading angles are fixed at 45° increments. | The heading angles are computed based on the drone camera. |
DJI Fly Compatibility | The resulting Litchi mission cannot be converted into a usable DJI Fly mission because DJI Fly's implementation of waypoints does not support multiple actions at a single waypoint even though the WPML language does support multiple actions. | The resulting Litchi mission can theoretically be converted into a useable DJI Fly mission. Camera actions will be limited to one photo per waypoint. This results in many more waypoints to capture the required photos. |
